Flame Wars: The Grill That Wouldn’t Die
The grate isn't the only thing that's cracked!

The Spark
Mike says it’s time for me to get a new grill. I say not a chance. Mine is old, dented, half-rusted, and perfect. Like a good marriage, it’s survived every argument and weathered every storm.
The Burn
He points out the cracked grate, the missing knob, the door that squeaks. I see character. That grill’s been through birthdays, disasters, and one unforgettable Thanksgiving where the turkey took flight. You don’t throw out history, you season it.
The Lesson in the Smoke
In a world obsessed with new, there’s something sacred about repair. Love, like cast iron, gets better when it’s seasoned with time. Mike doesn’t see it for mine yet, but one day he will.
The Rant Wrap-Up
He keeps talking about “upgrading” mine. I keep polishing the old one when he’s not looking. I already know who’s winning this round.
